(Texto de divulga\u00e7\u00e3o da palestra escrito<\/a> pela Assessoria de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o NAPSoL)<\/em><\/p>\n O lan\u00e7ador do movimento Software Livre realizar\u00e1 a palestra A Free Digital Society no dia 11 de dezembro, \u00e0s 10h, no audit\u00f3rio Prof. Fern\u00e3o Stella de Rodrigues Germano do Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Matem\u00e1ticas e de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o (ICMC). O evento \u00e9 realizado pelo N\u00facleo de Apoio \u00e0 Pesquisa em Software Livre (NAPSoL).<\/p>\n A palestra tratar\u00e1 a inclus\u00e3o digital e suas pondera\u00e7\u00f5es, ser\u00e1 aberta ao p\u00fablico e ministrada em ingl\u00eas. Richard Stallman (Foto: Divulga\u00e7\u00e3o)<\/p>\n Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n Activities directed at “including” more people in the use of digital technology are predicated on the assumption that such inclusion is invariably a good thing. It appears so, when judged solely by immediate practical convenience. However, if we also judge in terms of human rights, whether digital inclusion is good or bad depends on what kind of digital world we are to be included in. If we wish to work towards digital inclusion as a goal, it behooves us to make sure it is the good kind.<\/p>\n Sobre Richard Stallman<\/strong><\/p>\n Lan\u00e7ou o movimento Software Livre em 1983 e iniciou o desenvolvimento do sistema operacional GNU em 1984. O GNU \u00e9 um software livre em que cada usu\u00e1rio tem a liberdade de copi\u00e1-lo e redistribu\u00ed-lo, com ou sem altera\u00e7\u00f5es.
